About the libraryThe North Plains Public Library is a department of the City of North Plains. Its personnel are city employees, and its operations are budgeted and managed through established city processes. There is a seven-member Library Board which is advisory to the Library Director and to City Council. The Friends of the North Plains Public Library non-profit organization actively fundraises through used book sales in order to support the library with additional programs and materials. Both the Library Board and the Friends are seeking members!

The 2,500 square foot library facility is adjacent to City Hall. It houses over 16,000 items in various formats, and the collection focus is on popular materials for all ages.
